Alfie's Christmas list.. So far

As this is our first Christmas as a family, I want to make it extra special for my little man. He will be nearly 8months at Christmas so he won't know exactly what's going on but I'll be taking millions of pictures to show him when he does understand about Christmas. My dad is a massive lover of all things Christmas, his house is like santas grotto at Christmas and it really is lovely. He has a massive 8ft tree in the corner of the living room, decorated with twinkly lights and glittery baubles. Not forgetting the TINSEL, he puts it everywhere at Christmas! He loves the stuff. As I've been bought up with this Christmas crazy man I also now love to make a massive effort too. I know Alfie might try pull the tree down but I want everything to be so festive minus all the bloomin tinsel!

As far as Christmas presents are concerned I obviously want to spoil my Alfie but he won't remember so I'm trying to get things he needs. I have a few things in mind at the moment;

Rocking giraffe
My lovely friend Kelly has this giraffe for her little girl, I've been looking at the ones from mamas and papas but this little fella is a little cheaper and he's more colourful. It's intended for 18month+ but we will obviously supervise and hold him whiles he's on it until he's old enough to do it himself.

LoveKeepCreate teddy
I have been looking at these for ages, they are little teddies made from your babies old sleepsuits. I have a couple of sleepsuits that I want to keep (this first sleepsuit& his coming home outfit) so I need to have a sort out and decide which ones I want to keep and to make into a little keepsake. I'll end up with a few sleepsuits in a carrier bag in the bottom of the wardrobe if I don't get them made into something. It's a brilliant idea

Baby walker
My dad has been saying he wants to buy a walker for Alfie and we was looking at some together and we came across this one. It lights up and makes noises so it's perfect to keep your baby entertained. Alfie is so bored of everything he has now and I think he would love trying to move around in this!

No added sugar boys clothing
I found this website when I was browsing the internet for baby clothes. There clothes look fantastic quality but do have a hefty price tag. I fell in love with these trousers, they look so comfy. They do these in a range of colours and I do want them all but at £32-00 each I won't be able to do that! I could easily spend over £100 on a couple of bits from there website!

What's on all your babies Christmas lists?

Tommee Tippee Microwave Steriliser

I thought it would be good to review some of the baby products that I use, as I have lots of followers who are mummy's to be so hopefully I'll be able to shed some light on different essentials and help you choose what would be best for you!

Today I will review the
'TOMMEE TIPPEE MIRCROWAVE STEAM STERILISER'

This product is brilliant, it's so easy to use! As the name explains you put it into the microwave for it to work. You put 200ml of water in the bottom. It can sterilise up to 4bottles at a time.

It takes 4-8 minutes to sterilise your bottles and accessories and they stay sterile for 24hours if the lid is unopened.

It's so quick and easy, would recommend to any mum or mum to be for the fact that it's so quick and simple to do.

The steriliser is £17-99 on mothercare at the moment but I don't know how long for because it is on offer, RRP is £26-99.

If you would also like to see a review on the electric steriliser, my lovely friend sarah at bumpbabycandme did a great review.

Funky Giraffe Bibs

I have a very dribbley baby on my hands at the moment, Alfie is teething and don't I know about it! He isn't his usual happy Bonny self, he's turned into a Mardy baby that prefers to squeal than give me his big cheeky smile.

I was moaning about all the dribble soaking his clothes and making himself cold and my friend on twitter pointed me in the direction of Funky Giraffe Bibs, they have lovely bibs and also do other bits of baby clothing. The bibs are stylish and so they go with anything. They do ranges for boys, girls and also unisex options!

The delivery was very quick, I was so impressed when I saw them come through my letter box the day after I ordered them.

I ordered 5bandana bibs as they have a great offer of 5bibs for £11 with free next delivery! Absolutely fantastic.

Alfie very much approves of the bibs as they are so soft on his neck and comfortable that he just gets on with what he is doing and he's not pulling them off when playing around which he does with all his Velcro bibs, that's when he ends up with soaking wet clothes! The bibs have 2size options, so however old or young your little one is, they will fit perfectly!

They have a range of designs so if you prefer plain or patterned they cater to your needs.

I would recommend these fantastic bibs to any mummy or mum to be. They really are absolutely fantastic!!

Gro egg Review

Today I am going to review Alfie's gro egg, it's a brilliant little egg that tells you how warm your child's room is. The egg changes colour to the temperature of the room so you only need to glance over and you know if the room is too hot or too cold.

There is a lot of talk about making sure your baby doesn't get too hot or cold while sleeping and this egg really does give you a piece of mind without having to check a thermometer, you just glance over. Even if your half asleep!

The egg colours are;
Blue- too cold
Yellow-ideal
Orange- warm
Red- too warm

Obviously because the egg is lit up all night if it's plugged in, it's also a brilliant night light to soothe baby if they wake up in the middle of the night.

The egg retails at around £19-99, I would say it's worth it and you can buy little shells to put on top of your egg to make it look a little less egg-ish! We have Mickey the Monkey. You can get an owl or a penguin too. The shells retail at about £4-99.

I would recommend this for any babys nursery, they also do lots more on their Website. I really want to try one of the sleeping bags next, especially with the chilly winter months coming up quickly. I've got my eye on a few bits so watch this space!

Alfie-5month update

Alfie was5 months old on the 27th September, it's so scary how quick the time is going. I remember being in labour bouncing on my gym ball and now he's not my tiny little baby anymore. He moans and groans if I try to give him snuggles which is quite sad. He doesn't like being laid down anymore, he likes to be in his baby snug and he likes us to stand him up. He's already fed up of laying on his playmat. He rolled over for the first time yesterday!! I was out doing the food shopping and my boyfriend text me to tell me. Typical he would do it when I'm not there, but we did manage to get him to do another one when I got back.

I still really want to take him swimming as he still loves his bath, still need to look into what I have around my area!

He can sit up on his own now, he sits on the sofa with us when we're watching tele& he can sit for about 2mins before he starts to get unsteady but I'm so proud of him.

He's developing so quickly and he's such a clever boy! He grabs everything, your hair, your nose, your ears.. Just about everything he can get in his little hands!!
He is now in his cot, he's only just grown out of his Moses basket so we got good use out of it. He was a little unsure to start with, it's very different to his Moses basket& he's got loads of room to wiggle around now. He looks tiny in it, even though babies younger than Alfie go in there cots earlier on but I'm used to seeing my boy all snuggled up in his Moses basket.

We can shout his name and he'll turn round to look at us. He doesn't do it to other family members, just mummy and daddy. He's still abit shy and unsettled with people, and will cry till he's back with me or his daddy. I know we should make him be with other people but i can't leave him crying on someone if he doesn't want to be with them.

We will start weaning him soon, I did have ago at it but he wasn't too fussed so I thought I would wait til 6months.

His hair is starting to grow on the top, he jus had a tuft of hair in the nape of his neck for ages. But he's starting to get very light hair all over and it's really fluffy!

His personality is starting to come through so much now, he is very cheeky but a very good boy.

Love my son so much :-)
